Are you allowed to copy someone else’s artwork? If you make an exact copy, it’s a forgery. But you can make a paraphrase! When you paraphrase, you draw inspiration from a famous artwork and remake it in your own way.

But why create a paraphrase? By taking an artwork that was made hundreds of years ago and remaking it today, we can learn more about the past, the present, and perhaps even the future. You can also add your own message, tell a story with your paraphrase that makes people think!
